USA Track & Field Annual Meetings

The USA Track & Field Annual Meetings are coming to Columbus on Nov. 29-Dec. 3!  We're ready to welcome nearly 1,500 of USA Track & Field's athletes, coaches, executives and fans to the Hyatt Regency and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. 

 

 

Know Before You Go

The 2017 Jingle Bell Run 5K will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 throughout Downtown Columbus. Roads including W. Spring Street, W. Long Street and Front Street may be closed until 12 p.m., so allow extra time if you are traveling. A detailed course map can be found here

Things To Do During Your Stay

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Wildlights is a local holiday tradition in Central Ohio featuring an exquisite lights show at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. You can enjoy live music and great food along with family friendly activities and visits from Santa Claus and his reindeer! Wildlights is a perfect event for people of all ages looking to join in on holiday festivities.

The American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery is a brand-new exhibit at COSI (Center of Science and Industry) that includes installations of the American Museum of Natural History’s renowned dinosaur exhibits, including interactive experiences and specimens from its world-class collections, and is only a short cab-ride away.

Holiday Lights, Presented by American Electric Power, will transform the downtown Columbus Commons into a dazzling light display with more than 320,000 lights. Just within walking distance of the Greater Columbus Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Columbus, Holiday Lights will take place Wednesday, Nov. 29 - Saturday, Dec. 2 from dusk to 11 p.m.

Short North Arts District Gallery Hop is hosted on the first Saturday of each month. Thousands of visitors converge on High Street to see new art exhibits and add to their growing collections. During the 2017 USA Track & Field Annual Meetings, the Holiday Gallery Hop will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2. With dozens of galleries and non-traditional exhibit spaces, it’s Columbus’ favorite night of the month to celebrate art. Though many shops are open earlier, the Gallery Hop officially starts at noon and runs to 10 p.m with restaurants and bars staying open considerably later.

Home For the Holidays with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra is a jazzy, joyous celebration featuring vocalist David Pruyn and acclaimed soprano and Opera Columbus Artistic Director Peggy Kriha Dye performing holiday favorites both naughty and nice with Byron Stripling and the 16-piece Columbus Jazz Orchestra. Just a short distance away from the Convention Center, the show takes place at the Southern Theatre between Nov. 29 – Dec. 3.

The Columbus Blue Jackets will host the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. during the 2017 USA Track & Field Annual Meetings. The Blue Jackets play at Nationwide Arena, which opened in 2000 and boasts several leading entertainment events each year. Nationwide Arena is within walking distance of the Greater Columbus Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Columbus.
